Paul Lancaster AKA Punk Pappa, is a well respected Session Bass Player, Producer, MOBO Award Winner,Songwriter and Artist.

His career in music has spanned over 20 years of working with some of the music industries leading names.

With a comprehensive CV including a full spectrum of genres Paul forged a name as a session player in the early 1990’s as in house bass player with Steve Levine (The Beach boys, The Clash, Ziggy Marley, XTC, Culture Club) which then led him onto working with numerous other producers and some of Londons top studios on various Pop records which then automatically opened doors for his extensive live and touring experience throughout the UK, USA & Europe.

His passion for playing Bass and energy “live” put him in the most talked about top UK Bass players in 1998, with interviews as a Warwick Bass endorsee in Bass player magazine, and most in 2012 a glowing article written about him in the Player Spotlight feature in worldwide online American magazine ‘No Treble’ http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2012/05/08/player-spotlight-punk-pappa/
Paul has also been featured in 2014 issue 8 of ibass magazine player spotlight where he talks influences and the release of his band Wonderlush debut album “Music Satisfaction” with Nick Wells.

Paul’s versatile style from the studio session scene allowed him to tour in many different genres from: Rock, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Latin, Fusion, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, Gospel and Motown.

Punkpappa is the musical director & producer of band Wonderlush bringing fresh innovative Funk fused sounds. After their EP release in 2011 and a series of live shows with their tracks being used for US hit show Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Australian TV, they now bring their much anticipated debut Album ‘Music Satisfaction’ in 2014 and will be supporting Funk Legend George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic in july 2014.
