Shameful Behaviour is a 3-piece heavy rock/metal band formed back in 2004 by Mark Simpson as a vehicle for his song writing.

The music is a combination of great pumping Original Rock & Metal plus a dash of punk thrown in. With songs that tell a story and have meaning with face-melting lead guitar, just as it should be and hasn’t been for a long time, Shameful Behaviour are a force to be reckoned with. Primarily an original music band, Shameful Behaviour are not averse to playing the occasional cover of a classic metal song from the bands that have influenced them.

In its time the band has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such names as Carmine Appice, Vinnie Moore (UFO), Doug Scarratt (Saxon), and the incredible Michael Angelo Batio. The band has also made appearances at Dean guitars DOA UK events in 2009 and 2010.

The band takes inspiration from such bands and artists as – Black Sabbath, UFO, Gary Moore circa 1980s, Kiss, W.A.S.P. Judas Priest, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhodes, and many, many more!

MARK SIMPSON – Mark is a superb guitarist of over 30 years playing with killer rhythm chops and screaming lead guitar. As a song writer Mark has composed the majority of Shameful Behaviour’s original material to date. Influenced by so many, but definitely Hendrix, Gary Moore, Clapton, Randy Rhodes and Ritchie Blackmore. Mark has played in many bands, but his first own project, The Gummy Babies, Headlined the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone and secured a record deal with Rojon Records. There is still a “Live at the Leas” album available.

JIMI KING – Jimi has been playing rock-solid bass for over 30 years and his influ- ences are: Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Motorhead and Kiss. Jimi likes to shake the foundations with his trusty 76 Fender P-Bass and his Marshall stack. Jimi is also known to write the occasional song. Jimi has been involved in music all his life as he comes from a strongly musical family. Jimi was involved in the South East London scene in his youth and his band, Running on Empty, were scheduled to play on the Tube the week after Jules Holland said the “F” word and the show was can- celled.

PETER HAGGART – We won’t say how long Peter has been playing for. It’s a long time take our word for it! Never happier than when he is beating the living daylights out of his double kit. Peter is definitely the engine room of this band, and also ac- tively contributes song writing ideas! Peter has had a distinguished career perform- ing with varied bands including The Steve Linton Band, Flying Heroes, The Swim, He supported Annie Lennox with The Tourists, More recently he played in classic rock band England’s Pride fronted by Graham Leslie, songwriter, ex The Outfield and current guitarist in Steve Harris’s (Iron Maiden) British Lions.

The band is also proud to have secured endorsements with Dean Guitars, Marshall amplification, Rotosound Strings, Intune guitar picks, Monster Cables, Kahler Tremolos
