I have been using Rotosound Country Gold piano design strings for years and have yet to come across a better string. I recently rebuilt a 12 string and thought it would be great to try out a set of golds especially as the core sits on the bridge and would make the intonation a lot more accurate. Any plans to intruduce the Golds in a 12 string format?

I wonder if you would remember having conversations with me when I was on tour in Europe with Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers about six years or so ago? Let me re-introduce myself. My name is Glen Browne Bass player, Producer. I was born on the 2nd of July, 1952.
I've been playing professionally for over thirty years, and have played live for people like Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley, Luciano, Dean Fraser, Monty Alexander and a couple af Blues singers from the U.S. when they come to Jamaica to perform, like, Sister Monica ........ I'm also one of Jamaica's top session musician, playing from Mento, Ska, Reggae, Gospel,
Dance hall Rock, Funk, Afro rhythm's, Jazz and any of the Caribbean beats. I've recorded for Marcia Griffiths, Tanya Stephens, Judy Mowatt, Pushim from Japan, Culture, Bob Andy, Buju Banton, Maxi Priest, Luciano, Turbulance and Sasha, Sizzla, A.J.Brown Abijah, Tarus Riley, Ernie Ranglin, to name a few. The last project I did for Telarc records is Monty Alexander's latest tribute to Bob Marley called Concrete Jungle. Check it out it's great.
With all that said, this mail is about your fantastic Bass Strings that I've been using consistently for about twenty seven years. I started out using medium gauge stainless steel roundwound, with my Fender Jazz. Before that I've used Fender, D'Aderio, Smiths, La Bella and Ernie Ball. D'Aderio was close to what I was hearing in my head, but it puts too much tension on the neck. When I put on my first set of ROTOSOUND, Wow!!!!! this is it I said. It sounds great, feels great and lasts long too! What more could I ask for.
After about eight years of playing medium gauge, I started touring and met a Brother who used to be the tec. for Earth Wind and Fire named Aundrae. He would be the guitar tech. for Jimmy Cliffs band when E.W.F. was not on the road. I told him I only use Rotosound strings. He smiled and said, " I noticed, I've been ordering direct from England, I'll get you a couple of gauges thats not easy to find in the states", Jason! He made my day. By this time, I started playing a Guild Pilot Five String with a hip shot on the B string, to keep up with the synth basses. Jamaican music had also evolved to synth bass in the dance hall music. Can you imagine how I felt when Aundrae installed the first set of HEAVY Gauge on my bass and I played it at sound check? It was perfect for the reggae sound with great punch and excellent clarity that has been my trade sound to date.
When we spoke last, you had promised to send me some strings to try out. You told me about your Double Bass strings too. I now play one of Ira Colmans new design Double Bass, so I'm interested in those strings. Apart from re-introducing my self, and now computer literate, communication is easier and more affordable, It's also to say to you i've played my last set of heavy strings for about nine months , and need to have some ASAP. I' m doing more studio and production work now, having my own label, (ISLAND TREASURE)
which keeps me busy. I go on the road now to do Festivals or short gigs like the one I did in June with Monty Alexander in Japan at the new Cotton Club for one week, to promote the Concrete JungleCD. I'll be playing at the Ronnie Scott Jazz Club in London with Monty Alexander from the 7th - 9th September, it would be great to link up with you while I'm there. You have no idea how hard it is for me to get the guage strings I love to use, and I refuse to put any other strings on my instruments Jason. Can we do an endorsement ? Or do I have to purchace them from you? If there are new products I'd like to try them, however, I need to have a few sets of your best strings. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY OTHER BRAND JASON I use S.W.R. 400s and 900s Bass amps with Goliath cabinets. Please respond to this call and let me know how you can assist me in maintaining my sound and my standard , as a lot of young bass players worldwide , are interested in my style, feel and sound. Some Bass players call my sound Lightening and Thunder . BUT ONLY WITH ROTOSOUND CAN I SHAKE THE GROUND.

I have just shifted to the Top Tapes (RS200 Monel steel) with my 1922 Gibson acoustic L-3 archtop - this is the closest match to the original Gibson strings ('20s Monel) that I have found and the sound is crisp and warm for both recording and performing - thanks for producing such an amazing "traditional" string.

I stumbled on Rotosound Guitar strings by accident. I was using another brand and one particular time my local shop didn't have the gauge I use. I tried the Rotos and they were much better, lasted longer, don't break and sound better. I gig lots, teach guitar for a living so good strings are important to me. In 26 years of playing electric guitar, Rotos are the best I've used.

After spending years snapping Ernie Balls and D'Addarios I finally tried Rotosounds. Rotosound Blues allow me to shred my heart out and the heavy bottoms add extra beef to rhythm playing. and I've never snapped a string, so I'm getting a nice stockpile of extra e strings. Nice one Rotosound, makes me proud to be British.

Like a lot of people, I always loved Ernie Ball's Slinky strings, but found them fragile (and I do tend to get carried away on stage). Changed to Rotosound Pinks in the early 90s, and have never ever been persuaded away from them. Rotos can take the Pepsi challenge with any string costing five times the price, nothing competes with them at any level in my opinion.

I have been using Rotosound since they were very unfashionable in the late 80s, and compared to so many other strings, they are superb. They may not be the most expensive but they feel great, sound great, last for ages and are damned bloody hard to break. In the last 10 years, I have only broken one string.

Rotosound are my favourite as they can turn an ordinary guitar into something more playable. They can deliver tone where the pickups lack quality. I really can't fault them.

I have tried a lot of major makes of string and found the Rotosound Yellows to be the best by far. They last well, don't break and our lead guitarist uses them as well. Say no more!

Rotosound –That legendary tone and reliability! Superb strings. I use these for mainly rhythm playing on a piezo-equipped Tele for that fat bottom end and Rotosound Yellows on a Thinline. They have a great piano-like twang on the wound strings and a solid ping on the top strings. Excellent value for money and deserving of their quality reputation

Quite simply the best guitar string around. Punchy, warm, bell like tone - they never break and always sound great with a clean sound or over driven sound. Note definition is superb. I have used them for years – Rotosound are the best.

These are my favourite strings. Great tone and feel they don't rust (unlike Ernie Balls, which I found the top strings did pretty quick). You get an extra 1st string which is great but you won't use it because you won't break it, unless you try of course.
