To celebrate the launch of our new guitar pick range, we are launching our 'Design A Pick' competition with a main prize of 200 of your winning design picks, plus the honour of having your pick launched by Rotosound.

The competition is to design an image to fit on a standard pick shape. The design needs to be bright and creative, exciting and clearly show your passion for music. It will be a striking imaginative concept, well executed and have an originality and point of difference that makes it stand out from the others.

There are eight categories to enter: rock, metal, blues, folk, punk, psychedelic, pop and jazz. Each category will have six winners who will have the opportunity to see their creation put in to production and go on sale worldwide, as well as receiving 200 of their winning Rotosound picks.

The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges including the Rotosound CEO Jason How and will be announced on the 31st July.

To enter download a pick template here, PLEASE DO NOT RESIZE THE TEMPLATE - you can use any programme to create your design but submitted entries must be in either jpeg, tiff or photoshop PSD formats and must be high resolution (300 pixels per inch). It may not be possible to reproduce any design if not saved and supplied in this format.

Once you have created your masterpiece please send your entry to jason@rotosound.com including the category you wish your entry to be judged in. You can also enter by post to Rotosound, Unit 3B, Morewood Close, Sevenoaks, Kent, TH13 2HU including your email address, first and last name, address including post code and telephone number. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59 PM PST ON THE LAST DAY OF THE ENTRY PERIOD 30th June 2012.

COMPETITION RULES

Entry is open to all worldwide

Persons under the age of 13 must obtain the permission of their parent or guardian before entering any competition. Proof of such permission must be provided to the Promoter on request.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59 PM PST ON THE LAST DAY OF THE ENTRY PERIOD 30th June 2012. There is no limit to the number of entries per person.

By entering and submitting a design, the entrant agrees that the entrant has read and consents to be bound by these Official Rules.

Designs must be entrant's own original work, created solely by entrant; must not have been previously published, released or distributed in any form; must not have won any award; and must not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other personal or proprietary rights of any person or entity.

Designs must not contain or reference any names, products or services of any company or entity or any third party trademarks, logos, trade dress or promotion of any brand, product or service.

Designs that are lewd, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, disparaging, defamatory, libelous, obscene, or any Work that otherwise contains inappropriate content or objectionable material may not be submitted and may be removed at any time in promoters sole and unfettered discretion.

The Prizes for the winner(s) are described on the Contest Site. No transfer, refund, cash redemption, substitution, cash equivalent or replacement of any prize by any winner is permitted, except that promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value (or cash equivalent).

Winner Notification: The winners will be contacted as soon as practicable on or after the draw date or judging date and will be notified by mail, phone and/or e-mail, at Rotosounds discretion, using the information provided by each potential winner. Rotosound shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by potential winner for any reason. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner. Failure to respond and/or provide an address for delivery, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize. If winners cannot be contacted, or are unable comply with these terms and conditions, Rotosound reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random.

Rotosound will endeavour to deliver the prize to the winner within 90 days from the date of winner confirmation unless stated otherwise in the interaction information, Rotosound will not be liable where a prize has been lost or stolen following delivery and such prize will not be replaced.

Grant of Rights: By entering the Contest, entrants irrevocably grant Rotosound, its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, designees, clients, sponsors, licensees, and advertising and promotional agencies, an unlimited, worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, unconditional license and absolute right to edit, modify, adapt, distribute, stream, post, publish, broadcast, reproduce, store, copy, transmit, publicly display, exhibit, exploit and/or otherwise use the Design (in whole or in part) and copyrights therein, in any way and in any and all media, in Rotosound's (or its subsidiaries', divisions', affiliates' clients', sponsors', licensees', and/or advertising and promotional agencies') sole discretion, including but not limited to, the posting of any Design (in whole or in part) on social networking sites or any websites owned or operated by Rotosound or its subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, designees, clients, sponsors, licensees, and advertising and promotional agencies.

Use of a false name or address will result in disqualification.

All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition.

The prizes are as stated, are not transferable to another individual and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.

Rotosound reserve the right to amend or alter the terms of competitions and reject entries from entrants not entering into the spirit of the competition.

The winner agrees to the use of his or her name, photograph and disclosure of county of residence and will co-operate with any other reasonable requests by Rotosound relating to any post-winning publicity.

The winners will be chosen from all correct entries received by the closing date stated within the promotional material.

Decisions of judges are final and cannot be appealed. No correspondence will be entered into over this decision.

Competition may be modified or withdrawn at any time.

Winner List: To obtain a copy of a winner list for a specific Contest, available after the Winner Notification Date, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Sponsor, with the specific Contest Name, to Sponsor within thirty (30) days after the Winner Notification Date.

Rotosound may refuse to provide a prize, or seek its recovery, in the event of non-entitlement under the interaction terms and conditions or an entrant's breach of the interaction terms and conditions, fraud or dishonesty, including but not limited to the use of technology which enables an entrant to evade applicable charges when entering the promotion.
