PAUL SCOTT
Paul Scott has played bass guitar and double bass professionally for over thirty years and has worked with artists as diverse as Burt Bacharach, Billy Eckstine, Jimmy Witherspoon, Brian Johnson (AC/DC) and Jamie Cullum.
He has been touring in the UK for the past ten years with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Current sessions include jazz, big band and gospel recordings as well as sessions for the B.B.C. He has also played in several West End shows.
Paul has had much journalistic experience. He was Music Editor of Bassist magazine from its inception in 1994 to 2000, and has written many reviews for Guitarist magazine. He was also Technical Review Editor of Musician, the journal of the Musicians’ Union, from 1995 to 2004.
Paul Scott is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has been a lecturer at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance since 1992.
