NICOLAS WALDO PROJECT
Nicolas Waldo was born 1o January on Bogota, Colombia.
He studied Piano with a personal instructor on 1991; Drums on “Fuego Juvenil” Academy on 1994 and musical theory on the “Sinfonica Juvenil de Colombia” on 1996.
Nicolas was graduated on the El Bosque University like professional musician and Sound engineer on 2005.
Now, Nicolas Waldo is a Guitarist, Composer and Educator. He plays guitar, drums,bass, keyboards and composes for his personal project “Nicolas Waldo Band” and other side projects.
His compositions incorporate a diverse amount of musical elements, which include; improvised solos, odd meters, polyrhythms, classical harmony, classical counterpoint, jazz harmony, modern harmony, dense orchestration and outlandish song forms.
In the very beginning… Nicolas Waldo started playing guitar at the age of 14, on a Classical guitar his father had bought. Nicolas began practicing extensively right away and two years after he He had his first electric guitar , a Fender Stratocaster Squier Guitar Jimmy Hendrix model.
Nicolas began teaching guitar in his early teens and shortly thereafter formed his firts projects influenced for the power metal bands and shred guitar style.
During this time he continued to perform live with his bands and compose a seemingly endless amount of music.
On 2002, Nicolas formed his soloist project valid today and has recorded more than 15 personal productions, 3 Guitar methods on Cd -Rom and has participated in the recording of more than 10 albums as a session musician.
Nicolas worked with ESP GUITARS like official artist (2007 – 2008) and Vogel Guitars Artist on (2010 – 2012).
Now, he has Full Endorsment with PowerClick from Brazil, Shark Tooth Guitar picks U.S.A , E7 Straps from Colombia and his more recently sponsorship with the DEAN GUITARS like International Artist.
His band VORPAL NOMAD was signed for the Power metal Label METALODIC RECORDS CANADA and he was played on live performance with the bands Grave Digger from Germany, Saratoga and WarCry from España.
