KEITH ROSIER

Rotosound artist, Keith Rosier is a bassist, songwriter, and record producer who played his first professional gig when he was only 13 years old.

Around the time that he was learning how to play bass, Rosier led his own trio. Upon leaving his home state of Texas for Los Angeles, CA, when he was 19, he soon found work recording and touring with such leading artists as Hoyt Axton, and Steve Gillette.

With Axton, he embarked on his first tour, traveling through Europe, The UK and the U.S. Rosier later became acquainted with drummer John Molo of Bruce Hornsby & the Range.

The two worked together, and the association led Rosier to work with Charlie Sexton both on tour and in the studio.

He also played with Sexton on music videos, and TV shows including an episode of Live in Concert presented by MTV. He has also found work as a session musician working on recording projects, TV shows, and movie soundtracks. He has worked on a number of soundtracks for other works as bassist, producer and composer, including Supernatural, Everwood, Soul Food, King of the Hill, Ghost Whisperer, Inferno, Beverly Hills Cop II, Return to Two-Moon Junction, and Kalifornia.

The bassist’s wife, Denise Rosier, is a singer/songwriter. He co-produced her albums, Only a Whisper Away, Baby Come On, and One Heart.

Among the artists he has played or recorded with are Steve Earle, The Spears, Steve Jones, Joe Houston, Vince Gill, Shaun Cassidy, Katy Moffatt, Big Jay McNeely, Johnny Lee, Mel McDaniel, and Kathy Mathis. He also has authored three books of bass instruction.
