Junkstar are a hotly tipped electronica influenced guitar band, based in London, UK. They have released 2 singles, their most recent KICKING K (Genepool/Universal) - charted at number 2 in Amazon's new download chart, competing against Evanescence, Paul Weller and The Vaccines for the number 1 spot. Their debut, Magazine, released in 2010, was released to some great hype and the band toured the USA, Europe and the UK on the back of it, gaining credible support shows with acts such as The Drums, Kate Nash, Supergrass and We Are Scientists. The band have recently been endorsed by ROLAND, ORANGE AMPS and ROTOSOUND - and have just returned from a successful Italian Tour. Singer JC Connington is a regular music reviewer on the BBC 5 radio music show, and the band also have written a number of songs for the BBC comedy IDEAL, the most recent featuring as a B-Side on their latest single.

The band’s sound takes in influences as diverse as The Wombats, Faith No More, A-ha and Blur, and their songs have been championed by the BBC, Q magazine, Rolling Stone, XFM and Kerrang! Radio to name a few. They consist of founder members JC Connington (vocals/guitar) and Anna Reinoso (synths, piano, theramin, vocals) and also feature Emy Santoro (guitars), KT Zee (bass) and Simon Hartop (drums).
